Aberystwyth Arts Centre

We have been working with Aberystwyth Arts Centre for a number of years in order to establish a phased procurement for altering, repurposing and adding to existing facilities on the Penglais campus. The review allowed us to examine the history of the campus, understand the growth of facilities and the change in offer and demand and to reflect on how and why the current challenges could be addressed.

We refer to this strategic review as one of ‘Marginal Gains’; as it looks for the small changes that would have the most significant impact, rather than focusing on a set of prominent architectural interventions. A sequence to these interventions is proposed in order to prepare the ground for a 5 year procurement strategy delivered through a bespoke single framework.
