Maker Spaces

Since 2021 we have been working with Wales Millenium Centre (WMC) to develop a new concept for a suite of new Maker Spaces in Cardiff Bay, to provide facilities for young people to produce creative content and participate in creative programmes and skills based learning. Using a radical creative learning strategy to develop the brief with the client and their stakeholders, we are now supporting WMC with the phased procurement and technical specification for redevelopment.

The Maker Spaces accommodate a range of activities and practical opportunities for learning. They are places for young people to actively design, test, experiment, explore, build, innovate and collaborate around making and production. Facilities range from live-lounge recording studios, to 3D assembly rooms. Each space is being designed to serve the skills development of participants.
